Ban imposed

TAXILA, Nov 1: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Hassanabdal on Tuesday banned the sale of sacrificial animals in the city and the people had been advised to buy animals from the eight designated points.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Shakeel Ahmed during a meeting directed all revenue and town officers to strictly implement the ban on sale of sacrificial animals in the city. The decision has been taken to maintain law and order in the city.

The town officers have been directed to establish posts at all the entry and exit points to check the arrival of animals in the city areas.

Besides, heads of town administration have also been asked to launch crackdowns against sale of animals at undesignated places.—Correspondent
