KARACHI: Two suspected robbers were shot dead by a private security guard and citizens in Bhains Colony on late Thursday night, police said.

Sukhan SHO Adeel Shah said that four armed suspects looted valuables from citizens on Road-3. As they were fleeing, the security guard and the citizens opened fire on them. As a result, two suspects were shot dead on the spot while two others, including one in wounded condition, managed to escape from the spot.

The bodies were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The officer said one of the deceased suspects was identified as Jamshed who belonged to a dacoit gang as there were several FIRs against him registered at different police stations. The identity of other suspect could not be ascertained immediately.
