RAWALPINDI: The Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence, Lt-Gen. Ghulam Jilani, today [July 8] produced before the Supreme Court two dozen files containing intelligence reports on the activities of the leaders and workers of NAP, Pukhtoon Zalme, Pukhtoon Students Federation, Baluch Students Organisation and workers of Revolutionary Front of Mr. Ajmal Khattak beginning from March 20, 1972 to date. Lt-Gen Ghulam Jilani is the sixth witness produced ... in the Government reference on the dissolution of [NAP].

The witness claimed privilege with regard to these files. He, however, indicated these files contained as follows: The first file contained material about Mr Abdul Wali Khan’s return to Pakistan on June 15, 1974 via Kabul. ... The General informed the court that along with Mr Abdul Wali Khan, who was Supreme Commander of Pukhtoon Zalme, 20 saboteurs, trained in a neighbouring country, entered Pakistan. The witness also showed … some graphs indicating sharp rise in sabotage activities soon after the return of ... Wali Khan. ... The record also contained maps and a plan indicating training camps set up in a neighbouring country by Mr Ajmal Khattak.
