THIS refers to the report ‘Harvard is a joke, teaches hate and stupidity: Trump’ (April 17). My first reaction was that the news would have been far more credible if the headline was rephrased as: ‘Trump is a joke, preaches and practices hate and stupidity’.

Trump’s words and deeds are typical of a person who, by some strange turn of events, has somehow landed in a position quite a few notches higher than what he had the capacity to handle.

To cover his inadequacy, he just tries to browbeat others into submission, with the similarly disposed crowd that he has gathered around him whose main characteristic is a lack of courage to advise him to see sense and behave accordingly.

Trump’s tantrums, which initially caused ripples within the United States, seem to be gathering strength, and have now turned into full-blown storms creating havoc both at regional and international levels. Spreading and thinning, the Trump balloon will eventually burst, but, until that happens, may God save America, and may God save the rest of the world.
