OKARA: The PTI has replaced its NA-136 ticket-holder, Chaudhry Muhammad Abdullah Tahir, with Rao Hasan Sikander, son of former defence minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal.

A party source said the leadership had second thoughts after learning that Abdullah Tahir had not been seen with the party during trying times.

PTI candidates for two provincial seats falling under NA-136 — Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem Sadiq for PP-191 and Mehr Abdul Sattar for PP-192 -- are keeping their campaign in low profile.

Their different election symbols may create problems for the panel. Rao Hasan Sikandar’s election symbol is ‘huqqa’ and that of Sadiq ‘air cooler’ and Mehr Sattar ‘chimta’.

PP-191 independent candidate Rao Abdul Rehman, who quit the PTI after a press conference, was also in run with election symbol of ‘huqqa’.
