Whether in classes or in casual meetings with friends, there are many instances when you highlight something or write important note in a book or a notebook, and for which you always have to open your pencil case or dig into your bag for pen or pencil out.

To avoid such chaos, we will be making a very simple, yet enticing, notebook penholder.

Things you need:

• Two felt sheet (colours of your choice)

• Scissors (you can also use zigzag scissors)

• Scale

• Hot glue

• Elastic (7-inches, depends on the size of your notebook)

• Buttons or felt scrapes for decoration

Directions:

  1. Pens or pencils are usually 6 inches in length, so cut

the felt sheet you want to use as a base into 7x3 inches (I used red), pictures 2 and 3.

  1. For the front we will be using another colour of felt sheet, cut it into 5x3 inches, picture 4 and 5.

  2. Two fold the base sheet so that you can get the middle point, then put hot glue in a straight line, (we are making two sections, for two pens), picture 6 and 7.

  3. Now carefully stick the felt piece you just cut for the top, picture 8.

  4. Glue the edges of both pieces so they get locked, picture 9.

  5. The penholder with two section is almost ready, picture 10.

Note: You can make three sections in the same way by just

increasing the width of the felt pieces.

  1. Now turn it and stick both edges of the elastic to the centre of the back of the pouch, pictures 11 and 12.

  2. It’s time to decorate it. You can use flowers made from different coloured felt, cute animal faces or colourful buttons, picture 13.
