KARACHI: Police found bullet-riddled bodies of a man and a woman in a home in the Moinabad area of Landhi, who were believed to be gunned down in the name of honour, said police on Sunday.

Sharafi Goth police said that Naila, 22, and Azeem Khan, 30, were allegedly killed by Musawwir Ali, the girl’s brother in the name of honour at around 1.30am.

Police claimed to have arrested the suspect and seized a 30-bore pistol allegedly used in the double murder.

The bodies were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examinations.

Man shot dead in Orangi

A young man was shot dead in Orangi Town on Sunday, according to Pakistan Bazaar police.

The man in his 30s was attacked near Islam Chowk. He was hit by a single bullet in the head and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The murder was believed to be an outcome of a fight between some ‘drug addict friends’ at an empty plot in Sector 11 ½, said Pakistan Bazaar SHO Nasir Mehmood.

The victim’s identity could not be ascertained immediately.
