LAHORE: The Senior Member Board of Revenue and the World Bank team on Wednesday discussed the effectiveness of ongoing Punjab Resource Improvement and Digital Effectiveness (PRIDE) towards increase in revenue and improvement in service delivery.

The meeting chaired by SMBR Nabil Javed discussed revenue taxation, settlement rehabilitation, consolidation, land privatisation, land management system and IT infrastructure.

He said the PRIDE programme had been started in collaboration with the World Bank and added that the Punjab government would provide full support to the WB team.

Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia briefed the meeting that the terms of reference of Disaster Risk Induction have been finalised. The World Bank team assured to provide all support in disaster risk management.

SMBR Nabil Javed said the disaster management was very important and its programme schedule would be completed in four phases.

Mr Javed directed that the team should complete the targets by the end of this year. He said the Board of Revenue was undertaking reforms in all sectors.

He said reforms were under way on tax collection and property valuation, making the audit system more transparent and efficient.

He said the e-registration project was fully functional in Punjab.
