KARACHI: A huge fire that broke out in a factory in the Dalmia area, near National Stadium Karachi, on Monday was controlled after hectic efforts of the fire department.

An official of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s fire department said that the blaze erupted in a pipe factory at around 2:20pm. He said four fire engines managed to control the blaze at around 6:55pm.

No one was injured in the incident, he added. He said the exact cause of fire and estimation of financial loss could not be made till late in the night.
