CHAGAI: Pakistan Day was celebrated across the Rakhshan Division on Tuesday. Flag-hoisting ceremonies, speech competitions and rallies were held in Chagai, Kharan, Washuk and Nushki districts to mark the day.

Commissioner of Rakhshan Division Saeed Ahmed Umrani hoisted the national flag at a ceremony held at Kharan deputy commissioner’s office, attended by DC Abdul Salam Achakzai, Commandant of Frontier Corps Qamar Zaheer, civilian officers, tribesmen, students and political workers.

The Chagai DC, along with other officers, students and tribesmen hoisted the flag in a similar function held at a Boys High School in Dalbandin. Later, Sher Zaman also led a rally taken out in connection with the Pakistan Day which ended outside the Dalbandin Press Club.

Flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held in Pak-Iran border towns Taftan and Bahram Chah, a town near Pak-Afghan border in Chagai district.

Nushki Deputy Commissioner Jam­eel Ahmed Rind hoisted the national flag at his office. The flag-hoisting ceremony was attended by people from different walks of life.
