MANSEHRA: A woman committed suicide reportedly for being issueless in Chuar Kalan area of Oghi the other day.

The woman identified as Mazaj Bibi had got married three years ago but was still issueless. Her father Mir Afzal Shah said that she used to remain depressed for being issueless and committed suicide with a pistol. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.

Police handed over the body to her family on completion of medico-legal formalities at civil hospital in Oghi.

Meanwhile, nine-year-old Mohammad Uzafa drowned in the Kunhar River in Balakot. Local divers fished out the body near Jaghir area of Garhi Habibullah after hectic efforts.

Also, police also arrested suspects involved in the killing of a contractor, Mohammad Iqbal. His body was found at Barari forest on May 27.

Police after an investigation arrested Mohammad Kashif and Mohammad Adil, who confessed to their crime, saying they killed the contractor on monetary dispute of Rs35,000.

TMA: The tehsil municipal administration of Oghi has arrested three hoteliers and warned many others for selling unhygienic foodstuff.

Babar Khan Tanoli, the assistant commissioner, told journalists that three hoteliers were put behind bars for five days many others were warned to maintain cleanliness and sell only quality goods.

A joint team of food department, police and other relevant departments led by Mr Tanoli paid surprised visits in and around city and arrested three hoteliers.

Also in the day, the district and session judge Torghar, Ashfaq Taj, acquitted president of trader’s body in Oghi, Sarbuland Khan, and 10 others in a firing case.

Mr Khan and his family members were booked for celebratory firing during a wedding ceremony and scuffle with a police party last year.
