Haris Sohail replaces injured Babar Azam in Pakistan's T20I squad for Scotland series

The national selection committee on Monday announced a 15-member Pakistan squad for the two-match T20I series against Scotland, according to a Pakistan Cricket Board press release.

The Inzamamul Haq-led committed made the announcement after consulting captain Sarfraz Ahmed and head coach Mickey Arthur.

The roster is largely the same that brushed aside the West Indies in a three-match T20I series in Pakistan earlier this year, with the only exception being Babar Azam, who broke his wrist in the opening Test of the drawn England series.

Haris Sohail has been added to the squad as Azam's replacement.

The twin 20-over matches against Scotland will be played on June 12 and 13.

I was hoping Amir would not be there, but unfortunately he is. The other bowlers in that list are real fast bowlers, whilst Amir is just an excuse. Look elsewhere to more talented players, otherwise he is a burden on the rest. Unable to get the lbw or clean bowled, simple as that.

Bias inzemam now should give chance to fawad alam or Inzemam seems determined to compromise the rest of series losses in the name of selecting his nephew.

@Adeel Haq He batted pretty nicely. Middling the ball and his drives were audacious. Its not easy to open and in terms of technique, he is competent and extremely sound. Good balance, good stoke making and confident. Choose him any day.

@Farhan , Seriously? He is in top 10 of ODI batsmen ranking and highest rated Pakistani batsman. Scores run over average of 50 and decent strike rate of 80.

@Basit. None of that helps him in scoring runs. He has had plenty of opportunities over so many years to cement his place but his poor attitude and conceitedness always gets in the way. If you give that many chances to any other player from the domestic circuit, they will become world class players too. It's time to look beyond Ahmed Shehzad.

Amir is one of the few world class players in the team who is responsible for champions trophy final victory,so learn your cricket first @Basit.Pakistan could have done better in the Tests with a better batting line up,why we are dropping Umar Akmal,where is Hafeez and shoiab Malik for the test squad,why sarfaraz is still the captain when he is not scoring runs,and what sort of pull Azhar Ali has,Inzamam really needs to work honestly which he is not unfortunately.

@Ganges Khan Amir wasnt responsible for it. Fakhar Zaman was. Please don't misinform others. He scored 130 odd. Such an imposing total immediately puts pressure on the opposition. They have to get go from ball one and have an attacking mentality. This is exactly what happened.
