BLACK BEAUTY
Apparently it's not just the James Bond 007 films anymore that endorsebrands in an attempt to send subliminal messages to consumers and patronise high-end style brands. More and more films are now catching up, and jumping on to the bandwagon is none other than the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight, made famous by the actor who immortalises the sinister Joker in his last film and who died early this year, Heath Ledger. To prove how tech savvy our man in the black cape really is he endorses a popular brand's handset.

These facts were brought to light at at a glam-filled evening in which Iraj dressed in a classic black Deepak Perwani number launched the Nokia N96. So the next time someone asks you what do Batman and Pakistan have in common, the answer is... a tech-savvy Iraj, of course! — F.S.

 SUBLIME ISLAMABAD

Sara Shahid, the designer behind the fashion label Sublime has come a long way — from attaining her degree in fashion marketing and deisgn in 2007 to joining Sub Culture as a partner and designer in 2008.

In a recent move for expansion, Sara launched her outlet in Islamabad. “It's a big milestone for me, having started simply from a studio in 2003. It is important to consolidate a design house nationally first and the next step should
then be to go international,” she said about her future plans. — HS
