TOBA TEK SINGH: A man allegedly murdered his brother over a domestic dispute in Khalid Abad Colony in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Fatory Area police say that Fakhar Haq Bhatti and his younger brother Shahzad quarreled over some domestic issue.

During the quarrel, they say, Fakhar attacked Shahzad with a chopper, inflicting wounds on his neck. As a result, Shahzad died on the spot, while the suspect fled the scene. The police are conducting raids to arrest him.

WORKERS INJURED: Three workers were critically injured when a wall of a brick kiln fell on them at Chak 39 GB on Jhamra Road in Tandlianwala tehsil of Faisalabad on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 says that three workers, identified as Khurram Shahzad (34), Latif (50) and Khan Muhammad (40), were working at the brick kiln when the incident occurred. On being called, a team of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and rescued the critically injured workers after removing the heavy debris. The injured workers were shifted to the Allied Hospital’s burns unit for treatment.

ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency’s Faisalabad circle claimed to have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a visa fraud on Sunday.

As per FIA officials, the suspect, Muhammad Hussain of Afghanabad locality had allegedly received Rs150,000 from a man on the pretext of sending him to UK on a work visa in 2007 and later disappeared.

They said the suspect had been declared a proclaimed offender some eight years ago, and was finally arrested by the FIA on Sunday.

ACCIDENT: Three members of a family died when their motorcycle was run over by a mini-truck near Kuppan Adda located on Faisalabad-Sahiwal Road in Tandlianwala tehsil on Sunday night.

Reports said Ali Azhar (13) was on his way along with his mother Mukhtaran Bibi (35) and sister Iqra Mustafa (16) when a speeding mini-truck hit the bike, killing them on the spot.
