LAHORE: The Punjab government on Friday notified that a local holiday in Lahore district will be observed on Saturday (today) on annual urs of Shah Hussain (RA), the event also knows as Mela Chiraghan.

The holiday will be observed only at the district level and its subordinate offices located in the Lahore district.

TRANSFER, POSTING: The Punjab government on Friday transferred Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Commissioner Mirza Naseer Inayat and posted him as Punjab Service Tribunal member against a vacant post.

The government also transferred CM’s Inspection Team secretary Muhammad Shahid and posted him as ADC (General) of Nankana Sahib against a vacant post.
