SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: An old enmity claimed lives of three person including a policeman in two separate incidents in Wana, the headquarter of Lower South Waziristan, on Tuesday.

Police officials said the first incident occurred in front of the Nadra office in Wana, where constable Abdul Rasheed Wazir was fatally shot by his opponents. According to police sources, the motive behind the attack was an ongoing feud between the two groups.

In the second incident, a man and his son lost their lives in Rustam Bazaar,

Wana, after opponents opened firing on them. DPO Asif Bahader confirmed that both the incidents occurred due to personal enmity.

The DPO said the accused in both the incidents managed to escape, but, he added, the police had launched an investigation.

The police report revealed that the slain police constable belonged to Wazir Khojalkhel tribe, while the man and son who lost their lives were members of the Wazir Ghanikhel tribe.
