ISLAMABAD: The capital police have reactivated public conciliatory committees for immediate and merit-based solutions to citizens’ issues.

The deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Islamabad stated that these committees will operate 24/7 at the police station level, providing prompt resolutions to citizens’ issues.

Addressing a ceremony at Shalimar Police Station, the DIG said the committees were designed to separate personal matters from police station duties and offer relief to citizens. He said the initiative will save valuable time for both the police and the judiciary.

The DIG said the committees will help resolve minor issues at the local level, enabling citizens to find quick solutions without the need for formal police intervention. These committees are based on key values of transparency, impartiality, and merit.

“The members of the public conciliatory committees include citizens from all walks of life,” he added.
