BAHAWALPUR: Stocks of tyres and auto spare parts worth hundreds of thousands of rupees and several drums filled with engine oil were burnt, in a fire erupting in a godown, that also collapsed, near Mailsi Chowk at Kahrorerpucca on Monday night.
However, no loss of life was reported in the incident as the Rescue 1122 teams rescued two men, who were trapped in the godown.
According to Lodhran Rescue 1122 media coordinator Muhammad Safdar, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
He said the rescuers made four-hour long efforts to to extinguish the blaze that gutted the building and merchandise stored in the godown.
