TOBA TEK SINGH: A son of former woman MNA of the PML-N is among the six persons booked on Thursday night by Faisalabad police for allegedly stealing petrol from Parco refinery’s Karachi-Sheikhupura main pipeline.
As per the first information report (FIR) registered by Millat Town police under sections462-B and 379 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), on the complainant of a Parco Assistant Security Officer Muhammad Rafiq, the accused persons had laid a 200-foot underground pipeline for transferring the petrol to a factory located in Faisalabad’s Small Industrial Estate.
It says that the factory owner, Ameer Hamza, also nominated in the case, his accomplice Raushan Rajab, son of ex-lawmaker of the PML-N, Ms Ayesha Rajab Baloch and his four unidentified accomplices had been stealing Parco petrol and selling it to unknown buyers after filling the stolen fuel in oil-tankers inside the factory. No arrest has so far been made.
Meanwhile, in a video message on social media, Roushan, whose late father Rajab Ali Baloch was also MNA from Tandlianwala, has refuted the allegation of petrol theft.
He said as a member of a respectable political family, he can not even think of indulging in such ugly business.
Raushan’s uncle ex-MNA Ali Gohar Baloch has also condemned the registration of petrol theft case against his nephew, terming it fabricated and part of a propaganda campaign launched against his family.
ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad circle cyber crime wing has arrested a man for allegedly harassing and blackmailing a girl through her engineered obscene pictures and videos.
As per the complainant, a resident of Ayub Research Institute Colony, the suspect, Umair Atique, harassed and blackmailed his daughter, forcing her to pay him a sum of Rs0.5 million.
The suspect also shared the girl’s fake pictures and videos through Whatsapp, the complainant added.
Acting on the complaint, the FIA cybercrime wing arrested the suspect and registered FIR against him under sections 22 and 24 of PECA 2016 and 384 and 109 of the PPC.
