TAXILA: Three people died and one was injured in four separate incidents in Taxila, Wah, Hazro and the jurisdiction of Pindigheb police station on Monday.

In the first incident, the security guard of a private security company, deputed at a filling station on G.T. Road was shot dead by two men riding on a motorcycle in the jurisdiction of Taxila Police station. Police sources said the guard was identified as Pervaiz Khan. The suspects snatched Khan’s gun, shot him and escaped. Upon getting information about the incident SSP investigation, SP investigation and SP Potohar division along with other investigation staff reached the crime scene and collected evidence.

In the second incident, an eight-year-old old boy died after being hit by a motorcyclist in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantonment police station. The child was on his bicycle at the time.

Separately, a man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in to Ghazi Brotha water channel in the jurisdiction of Hazro Police station. Nabi Jan - a resident of Nowshera while going back to his native village parked his car near the water channel and jumped into it. Police, while quoting a family member of the deceased, said that the man was in distress due to some business problems.

Moreover, a man was critically injured when his car overturned due to over speeding on an under-construction CPEC route near Dhoke Haleem. The injured was taken to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital Pindigheb from where he was shifted to Rawalpindi due to his critical condition.

Respective police registered separate cases and started further investigation.
