KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday urged the ulema to play their role in sensitising the people regarding health of the mother and child, said a statement.

He met a delegation of ulema led by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman at the Governor House. Maulana Rehan Amjad Nomani, Mufti Nazir Jan, Maulana Sabir Noorani and Mufti Abid Mubarak were present on the occasion.

The delegation praised the role of the government in creating inter-sectarian and inter-faith harmony and for taking on board ulema on all matters of importance, especially Covid-19.
