Dawn.com is looking for an experienced News Editor to lead the newsroom.

We are looking for candidates based in Karachi, with 3-5+ years of experience in journalism, a strong grasp of news and current affairs, web/social media savvy, with experience leading an editorial team that includes subeditors, producers, reporters, other integrated desks/departments etc.

The ideal candidate should have:

1. Leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
2. Impeccable command over the English language.
3. Understanding of online audiences and social media.
4. A strategic mindset geared to innovate, grow and compete online.
5. A basic understanding of design and layout (web and/or otherwise).

This is a senior position.
