Whoever invented mug cakes needs to be given the award for the most useful invention, as they are so easy to make and are such lifesavers when cravings for something sweet hits you. I love making mug cakes as they are also ready in no time and I don’t need anyone else’s help in making it.

So here is the recipe of a super easy chocolate chips mug cake that tastes so yummy and is ready in 10 minutes at the most! Let’s get started!

Ingredients

• 4 tablespoons flour

• 3 teaspoons brown sugar

• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

• 3 tablespoons milk

• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence

• 1/2 tablespoon oil

• 1-2 tablespoons chocolate chips

• 1/2 egg, beaten

Method

In a microwave-proof tea/coffee mug, mix together the flour, brown sugar and baking powder. Stir these dry ingredients well.

Next add in milk, vanilla essence, oil and half an egg. Now mix well with a fork or spoon until there are no lumps. Stir in chocolate chips and cook in the microwave on high for one minute. Do not overcook as the cake will get rubbery.

Top with chocolate sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or just have it plain.
