Cycle rally

GUJRANWALA: A cycle rally was organized in Gujranwala on Sunday under the Punjab Chief Minister’s “Clean and Healthy Punjab” initiative.

The event was arranged by the district administration in collaboration with the traffic police and the CML Cycling Association, Lahore.

Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed, Chief Traffic Officer Ayesha Butt, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Shabbir Hussain Butt, SSP Operations Rizwan Tariq, SP City Shahid Rasheed attended the concluding ceremony. The rally commenced from Dolphin Police Headquarters and passed through GT Road, City Flyover and Jinnah Interchange before concluding at the Gujranwala Gymkhana.

At the conclusion, participants were served traditional Gujranwala cuisine.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Naveed Ahmed said that in line with the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, steps were being taken to make Gujranwala a clean and green city.
