SARGODHA: Four teenage sisters are said to be in a critical condition after allegedly taking poisonous pills to commit suicide following a quarrel with their stepmother in Sargodha.
The sisters were given immediate medical aid at the Bhalwal THQ Hospital and later shifted to the Sargodha DHQ Teaching Hospital in a critical condition.
According to sources, Misbah (13), Bushra (14), Nayab (16) and Alishba (18) allegedly consumed poisonous wheat preservation pills after a quarrel with their stepmother in Chak 7-NB of Bhalwal Town.
ARRESTED: Sargodha Police claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in a rape attempt on a 10-year-old child.
Police sources said DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf took notice of the incident of an attempt to rape a 10-year-old child in Mela area of Sargodha and sought a report.
The Mela Police arrested the alleged suspect and was investigating the incident. ATTACKED: Four of a family were injured when armed men allegedly opened fire at their home over an old enmity.
Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to the THQ Hospital and the police were investigating the incident.
According to sources, armed men opened fire on the house of their opponents near the Shahpur City Post Office and seriously injured Muhammad Imtiaz (38), his son Muhammad Asad (17), wife Naseem Bibi (40) and mother Pathani Bibi (80).
