KARACHI: The city is expected to face a shortfall of 100 million gallons of water on Monday (today) due to some essential maintenance work to be carried out by the K-Electric at its Dhabeji substation and grid station.

The maintenance work will result in partial suspension of power supply to various feeders of the Dhabeji pumping station.

The outage, scheduled from 10am to 7pm, is likely to affect water supply in several areas, including Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Bin Qasim, Defence Housing Authority and North Nazimabad. Karachi typically receives 650 million gallons per day (MGD) of water.

A spokesperson for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) advised citizens to use water carefully.
