KARACHI: A woman was gang-raped during a robbery in her home in Ibrahim Hyderi on Tuesday, police said.
They added that five robbers barged into her home, looted cash, jewellery and other valuables at gunpoint, subjected the woman to gang rape and fled.
However, with the help of technology and acting on a tip-off, the police claimed to have arrested three suspects.
A police spokesperson said that during grilling, the held suspects ‘confessed’ to their involvement in the robbery and rape case.
They also revealed that their two accomplices were also involved and raids were being conducted to arrest them, the spokesperson added.
