ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly on Monday conveyed serious concerns regarding the challenges faced by underprivileged women in Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly difficulties related to BISP registration, disbursement of financial assistance and other administrative hurdles.

Members of the delegation included the Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Advocate; Deputy Speaker Sadia Danish; Minister for Social Welfare Dilshad Bano; Advisor on IT Suraya Zaman; President of the Women’s Caucus in the GB Assembly, Kulsoom Farman; Chairperson of the Standing Committee Sanam Bibi; and Chairperson of the Standing Committee Kaneez Fatima. Senator Rubina Khalid listened to the issues raised and immediately instructed the Director General of BISP Cash Transfers to take swift action to resolve all concerns on a priority basis.
