A huge exotic plant is being shifted to a carriage with the help of a crane to clear the area. — Dawn

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways and National Highway Authority on Friday launched an operation at Pattoki plant nursery area and retrieved land from the illegal occupants.

During the operation, the team also recovered Rs278 million from the tenants of the land being used for nurseries. The team also confiscated plants that were causing hurdles on the public paths, according to a spokesperson.

Another PR team carried out an operation in Mahmood Booti area and sealed 22 shops, five warehouses, five cold stores and a weigh bridge on account of non-payment of rent to the department.
