NEW YORK: Oil prices fell about 3 per cent to a two-month low on Tuesday on weak economic news from the US and Germany that fed fears of slower energy demand, along with signs from several countries that oil output was on track to increase. Brent futures fell $1.99, or 2.7pc, to $72.79 a barrel by 1.09pm EST (1809 GMT), while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell $1.92, or 2.7pc, to $68.78.
