NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Two people were killed and one was injured in targeted killing in Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district, the police said on Monday.

Officials of security sources said that unknown miscreants riding a motorcycle shot dead Fazalur Rehman in Hassokhel village near Gulshan Adda area of Mirali on Monday. The attackers managed to escape.

The body was shifted to the tehsil headquarter hospital for postmortem. Later it was handed over to relatives.

Also, unknown miscreants killed a youth, identified as Hassan Khan, in Haiderkhel village on Sunday.

Another incident of targeted killing occurred in Nowrok area on Monday, when unknown assailants opened fire on Bismillah Jan, leaving him seriously injured.

He was shifted to the Mirali hospital. Later, he was referred to a Peshawar hospital in precarious condition.
