PIA flights can now be booked online at Expedia

Passengers wishing to fly Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) anywhere around the world can now book their flights online from the comfort of their bedroom on Expedia.com.

Expedia is an online portal which can be used to book flights, hotels and car rentals. Expedia does not have a Pakistani version of its website.

PIA spokesperson Danyal Gilani termed the development "a milestone".

Expedia is one of three major global players for flight bookings which competes aggressively with major players Priceline and Orbitz by constantly acquiring partner companies and launching promotional campaigns.

I could have developed it for PIA in 7 days... Easy integrations like this are being portrayed as milestone.. WOW First Milestone should be to integrate with all web portall, social media and a mobile app not just Expedia!

Now a bit about Indian railways BOOKING from anywhere in world from your bed room . Tickets from any station in any class 90 days in advance.. Ticket immediately arrives on your smartphone.You have to show that. Can book your bedrolls on line You can book food of your choice on line including KFC, Mcdowells or any brand available on menu card. You can book your complain during the journey and will be attended at next stop. At the end of journey your feed back will be requested Now remember Indian Railways has the largest network in world.. life is getting comfortable..

I place a line across PIA whenever I travel. You can put is on 100 platforms, unless your planes fly and fly on time, passengers ain't coming. I am a Pakistani who tried his best to use PIA for several years

KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) computerised their booking back in 1984 and online booking is available for more than a decade.

PIA doesn't treat its business class passengers badly, and I might actually use PIA business class instead of the usual Turkish Airlines. I never actually noticed PIA was missing from my search results, but I'd give them a chance now knowing full well that their business class product is not the same as other airlines, so long as the price is significantly lower.
