PESHAWAR: Information technology experts at a training workshop on e-businesses and brand promotion held here on Saturday urged the young female entrepreneurs to follow the emerging advances and online business tools to promote and market their products in a better way.

The workshop titled ‘digital marketing, best practice for small businesses’ was organised by Youth Forum of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI), Peshawar, at the Chamber House here on Saturday.

Around 70 female students from various educational institutions, including young entrepreneurs, participated in the training session, which was presided over by WCCI president Rohi Zahir Ali.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Zahidullah Shinwari, vice president Mohammad Shafiq, WCCI Youth Forum chairperson Maryam Arshad, president Afsheen Murad and others also attended the workshop.

Badar Khushnood, who worked as consultant with Google Pakistan, through multi-media presentation informed the participants about various tools and methods of online businesses and brand promotion.

He said that there were around 30 million internet users in Pakistan. He said the marketing research was essential to promote business or products in a befitting manner.

Maryam Arshad said the main objective of the workshop was to train young female entrepreneurs about the latest internet tools and methods to help them easily market their products and promote businesses through online services.

WCCI president Rohi Zahir Shah stressed the need for economic empowerment of women by providing them with latest and modern facilities. She said it was dire need to gain acknowledge about the modern business tools and methods.

Zahidullah Shinwari said that the chamber would extend every possible support and help to inform young female entrepreneurs about the emerging and advance online business methods and tools.
