During the summer holidays my family planned to go to Lahore by train. It was my first journey by train. I was very excited about it. One early morning we arrived at the station. The platform was crowded with people. The porters were running here and there carrying people’s luggage.

My father purchased the tickets and we sat in our compartment. After a few minutes, with a very loud sound, the train started moving slowly. My sister was a little scared by the jerks of the train. The scenery outside the window was very beautiful. Some people in the train were eating, talking and reading. My mom and dad were also busy talking. Me and my sister played cards.

Later, we had dinner and I slept. The next morning we arrived at Lahore station. My uncle’s family was there to receive us. I enjoyed my first train journey.
