Mouse in a hat

I have a mouse in a hat, It is afraid of the cat, It likes to jump on the pad, It eats cheese in a hat, It has its home called ‘Hat’, I am afraid of a mouse but not a cat.

Birthday

Dreaming of bright and colourful things, Making a wish then giving it wings, Dancing through the fun-filled hours, But not forgetting to smell those flowers, Sharing these hours and the birthday cake, The cake that my mom has sweetly baked, When evening comes to view, calling my friends, Blowing the candles from the very end, Then cutting the cake, in triangular shapes, Celebrating the birthday with my friends, I hope this enjoyment will never end!

The moon

The moon is so bright, The moon is so cold, And they say that The moon and sun are very old.

We sleep at night, But the moon never sleeps, Just twinkle and twinkle it peeps.

The moon is white, And full of light!

Looking through my window, It gives a wonderful sight.

How the snowman sneezed

My family and I built a snowman, He had arms like long sticks, And big round eyes, His nose was a carrot, His mouth had a big smile, He had buttons on his body, And a top-hat.

We left him there by the frozen pond, Where the snowman sneezed ‘Aaa choo’!

We looked around to see who sneezed, My little brother Jack began to cry, The snowman’s nose was missing, oh no!

‘Aaa choo’! Tissue! ‘Aaa choo’ my nose.

Snowflakes fell on me, Everything was still when ‘Aaa chooo’!

We gave the snowman his nose, The snow cracked… Thap! Grrr! Bong!

Our snowman vanished after a sneeze So the snowman was the one who sneezed.

Sunny day

Once during a holiday, Came a hot sunny day.

No one could go outside, Everyone stayed inside.

People thought they would die, But clouds came on the sky.

Gradually it began to rain, Everyone enjoyed and forgot their pain.

My friend

My friend is nice, He is afraid of mice.

He likes to eat rice, He is very wise.

He is not a gardener, But a very good partner.

He is lovely, And so friendly.

He is caring and loving, He runs fast, But comes last.

He is very clever, I wish we remain friends forever.

My brother

My brother is very cute, But he can’t play a flute.

He is really nice, And is scared of mice.

His age is five, And he likes to eat rice.

His cheeks are red, And are as soft as bread.

He plays with Playstation, Which he thinks is a lovely invention.

He sometimes becomes angry, And fights with me, But still I love him, Because he treats me like a queen.

Rain

Standing at my window, I closed my eyes, Raising them to the sky, Expecting it to rain, I opened my eyes again, The clouds gathered in the sky, The weather looked no more dry, Birds started making happy sounds, Flying happily all around, I realised the rain had come, And then I started to hum, The lovely song of rain.

My lesson

My mind isn’t working, My heart is beating fast, I couldn’t learn my lesson, And my parents didn’t help me either.

My friends are having fun, While I am crying, My teacher is asking questions, I am shivering with fear.

I could not answer her question, And she scolded me, I am crying and My classmates are teasing me.

Siblings

Siblings, siblings, siblings, I have five siblings, They all are naughty and funny, They behave stupidly like Bugs Bunny.

I have to scold them, Because I have to correct their behaviour, I love them from the bottom of my heart, But they don’t understand, It’s really difficult to handle them.

Then I have to scare them, By ghost and elves, But they are naughty as ever, My dear siblings, I will be there for you forever.

Beautiful stars

Beautiful stars are shining In the sky, People are looking up In the sky, They can see the bright stars In the sky, They all love to see the stars, They want to reach up In the sky, I pray to God to make me shine Like the beautiful stars Up in the sky.
