THE electronic media invites analysts and politicians to TV talk shows to present their views on socio-economic problems of the country.

However, it would be better if TV channels conduct such programmes at some public place in small towns and cities by inviting the public, along with their local representatives such as MPAs, MNAs and senators.

This would give the common man a chance to have direct contact with their elected leaders and put forward their grievances. It would mount pressure on the people at the helm of affairs to solve the problems being faced by the people.
