DERA MURAD JAMALI: Three bullet-riddled bodies were found near the Mushkaf railway station in Kachhi district on Thursday, police said.

Residents alerted authorities about the unattended bodies, after which police rushed to the area, took the bodies into their custody and shifted them to a nearby hospital.

Initial investigations suggested that the three victims had been shot dead by unidentified armed men. Their bodies bore multiple gunshot wounds.

The victims had not been identified by Thursday evening, and police said further investigations were under way.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the killings.

It is worth noting that last year’s terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express took place in Tunnel No 8, located between the Mushkaf and Pehro Kunri railway stations.
