SAHIWAL: A woman allegedly killed her neighbour over a monetary dispute of Rs2,500 at Village 30/SP, Tehsil Pakpattan, on Sunday. Saddar Police have registered a case against 45-year-old Allah Rakhi and her eldest son, Ali Abdullah, under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The case was filed based on a complaint by the deceased’s son, Syed Muzzafar Hussain.

Reports said Allah Rakhi and deceased Balqis Bibi (50) had been neighbours and long-time residents of the village for over four decades. Both families were engaged in agricultural labour.

Balqis had borrowed Rs2,500 in cash from Allah Rakhi to meet personal expenses but failed to return the amount as promised. When Allah Rakhi demanded repayment, tensions escalated between the two women.

On the day of the incident, Allah Rakhi reportedly went to Balqis’s home to demand the money. When Balqis refused to repay it, Allah Rakhi allegedly used abusive language. In response, Balqis lodged a complaint with Allah Rakhi’s brother, Iqbal.

This reportedly enraged Allah Rakhi, who then returned to Balqis’s house with her son, Ali Abdullah. According to the FIR, both mother and son verbally abused and physically assaulted Balqis. During the altercation, Allah Rakhi allegedly pushed and dragged Balqis, causing her head to strike the floor. She lost consciousness and later died from her injuries.

Rescue 1122 arrived at the scene and confirmed that Balqis had died after collapsing during the incident. Saddar Police have arrested Allah Rakhi and sent the body for autopsy. A forensic examination of the crime scene is underway.

TIKTOKER HELD: A TikToker and his four companions allegedly opened fire and critically injured three persons at Village 140/9-L, Tehsil Sahiwal.

Dera Rahim Police registered a case against TikToker Farooq and his accomplices Rouf, Naveed, Asghar, and Adnan under Sections 324, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code, based on a complaint filed by Nadeem Akhtar, a resident of the same village.

Reports said the dispute began when Nadeem’s brother, Sarfraz, objected to Farooq disposing of a sewerage pipe into his agricultural fields, citing damage to crop growth. Instead of addressing the concern, Farooq reportedly recorded a mocking video and uploaded it to social media platforms. Sarfraz protested the video’s content and publication, which allegedly led to a violent retaliation.

On Sunday, Farooq and his companions reportedly attacked Nadeem, Sarfraz, and another villager, Zubair. The assailants fired shots into the air and assaulted the victims with axes. Local villagers intervened and rescued the injured men.

Sarfraz was later shifted to THQ Hospital in a critical condition.
