MIRPURKHAS: A police constable was found dead on the roof of his home in Bhan Singhabad within the limits of the Satellite police station on Saturday night.

Police shifted the body of policeman Jabbar Soomro to the mortuary of Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital where doctors carried out a postmortem examination.

The police said that they found a gunshot wound on the back of the victim’s head, which proved fatal. The unknown killer had fired a shot from a close range and fled away, they said.

They said that the victim’s family members had gone outside the city to their relatives a few days ago. The policeman was posted at the DSP office in Shujaabad taluka, they said.
