LAHORE: Bar leaders on Tuesday lauded Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Aalia Neelum for successfully getting the Punjab government to reduce court fee from Rs500 to Rs100.

A delegation of bar representatives called on the chief justice to express their appreciation.

The delegation included Lahore High Court Bar Association President Malik Asif Nissoana and Lahore Bar Association President Mubashir Rehman.

Chief Justice Neelum reiterated the judiciary’s commitment to lawyers’ welfare and declared that all possible resources were being utilised to support the legal fraternity.

A statement issued by the LHC said the initiative of reducing the court fee, marked another milestone in the chief justice’s tenure, reinforcing her reputation as a visionary reformer committed to judicial accessibility, transparency, and inclusivity.
