LAHORE: Comedian Naseem Vicky is gearing up to start his maiden directorial venture, a feature film, to be produced by International Multi Group of Companies (IMGC).

Vicky has written the script of the film and will also direct it. Talking to Dawn, he said that he decided to direct the movie since he has written the script himself, giving the argument that if the writer directed the flick, it added to the quality being his brain child. He said though he belonged to theatre, he had always the feeling that he could direct a movie well, besides, it was his dream to direct a feature film.

Vicky said music for the movie has been composed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and three songs of the film had been sung by the composer himself. He added that five songs of the film had already been recorded.

Giving details of his venture, Naseem Vicky said, “This is the story of two lovers graduating from a UK university”.

He stressed the need for the revival of the Pakistani cinema with production of more movies, quality script and some melodious music.

The discussions on film are on and producer Hassan Zia visited Lahore last week to have a detailed meeting with Naseem Vicky.
