DERA GHAZI KHAN: Taunsa city police have registered a case against three teachers, including the principal, of a private academy on charge of beating a student.

Reports said local resident Faryad Ali filed a complaint with the police, alleging that his two sons Hamid Shahid (14) and Muhammad Qasim (12) were subjected to brutal physical punishment by the academy’s staff, despite repeated warnings about Qasim’s spinal condition.

According to the complaint, the administration was informed in advance about Muhammad Qasim’s medical condition, yet the staff continued to subject him to harsh disciplinary measures, including physical beatings.

The complainant alleged that the school disregarded medical advice and created a physically and mentally abusive environment.

Faryad Ali accused the teachers and the principal of creating a hostile and torturous atmosphere, employing sticks, slaps, and verbal abuse as forms of discipline. The latest incident reportedly occurred on May 13, when both children were allegedly beaten again.

In response, Faryad Ali approached the police. A first information report has been registered under Section 328A (cruelty of children) of the PPC.

Police have launched an investigation and recorded statements of the complainant and the affected students.

Faryad Ali has called for the immediate cancellation of the academy’s registration and strict legal action against the staff.
