PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secretary information and public relations department Arshad Khan on Friday inaugurated a special programme “Awami Agenda” on Pakhtunkhwa FM Radio Swat with the aim to create awareness among the masses regarding good governance initiative of the provincial government.

A statement issued here said that the programme would be broadcast live every Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm, where officials of all departments and district managements would be invited.

The main objective of the programme is not only to create awareness among the masses but also provide a platform to public where they can register their complaints and problems to higher authorities and can also present their ideas and suggestions for improving the service delivery.

While expressing his views in the inaugural programme, Arshad Khan said steps were being taken to improve governance.

Mr Khan said the chief minister had directed the departments to ensure that public grievances were redressed timely and efficiently. He added that government officials will be present in their offices during official working hours to serve the public, and any kind of negligence in that regard would not be tolerated.

He said Pakhtunkhwa Radio network had played a vital role in bridging the gap between the government and public.
