ANF recovers over 20kg narcotics

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting seven operations across the country managed to recover over 209kg drugs and arrested seven suspects, said an ANF spokesman on Friday.

He said 1.76kg ice was recovered from a parcel booked for Dubai at a courier office in Rawalpindi; 1.2kg hashish recovered from a Doha-bound passenger going at Islamabad airport. Moreover, 115 grams ice was recovered from a passenger’s luggage at Allama Iqbal International Airport and the suspect was leaving for Sharjah; 121kg heroin and 75kg morphine were recovered from Bostan area of Pishin while four kg hashish was recovered from two suspects in Peshawar and four kg hashish was recovered from two suspects near Customs Chowk in Peshawar.

Besides, two kg hashish was recovered from a suspect near Board Bazaar Peshawar. Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested suspects and further investigations are under process.
