SARGODHA: Two car riders died when their car with the registration number LEA 7469 plunged into a canal due to dense smog in Sargodha on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Hamidullah and Mohammad Rauf from Chak 135 NB, 30 kilometres from Sargodha, were transporting household goods to Sillanwali early in the morning.

The accident occurred near a bridge in Chak 130, causing the vehicle to fall into the Lower Jhelum canal. A rescue operation retrieved the bodies and the car.

ROBBERY: Robbers stole goods worth a Rs1 million from Muhammad Naseem Shahid’s shop in Joda Kalan Kaka Chowk. The stolen items included 10 mobile phones, laptops, power banks, chargers, headphones, tablets, earphones, mobile oil, wrenches, and more.

The burglars broke the roof of the shop to carry out the theft. A case was registered under sections 457 and 380 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Shahid.
