DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Twenty persons were injured when a bus met an accident on the Dera-Zhob Road in Sara-Khawrah area here on Sunday morning, a Rescue 1122 spokesman said.

He said that a passenger bus heading to Peshawar from Quetta hit a truck in Sara-Khawrah area of Darazinda subdivision after its driver lost control over the long vehicle due to brake failure. He said that as a result of the accident, 20 people, including eight children and four women, were injured.

He said that after receiving information, a medical team of Rescue 1122, Station 55, timely responded and reached the site.

He said that the rescue team shifted the injured to the Darazinda Hospital after providing them first aid on the spot. Later, the Rescue 1122 team shifted the seven seriously injured persons to the District Headquarters Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.
