HYDERABAD: Four policemen were dismissed from service while two were locked up for patronising crime in the city on Thursday.

Police sources said that Gada Hussain of police station (PS) Hatri, Sher Mohammad of PS Bhitai Nagar, Imran Wagan of PS Hussainabad and Asif Raza of PS Pinyari, were dismissed from service following an inquiry report about their activities.

They were allegedly patronising crime in their areas for a long time. The inquiries were conducted by a team of police officers – ASP Cantt. Ahmed Chaudhry, ASP City Aleena Rajpar and under trainee ASP Rana Mohammad Dilawar.

The findings were submitted to Hyderabad SSP Sajid Sadozai who ordered their dismissal.

Two policemen, head constable Fazal and police constable Sharjeel, were locked up in Market police station by ASP Aleena Rajpar. They were allegedly collecting extortion money from different areas by patronising criminal activities. They were posted in headquarters, but regularly working in CIA Centre
