LAHORE: The Punjab government made on Monday appointment of three senior police officers of BS-20 in Lahore and Faisalabad.

According to a notification, Punjab Traffic DIG Imran Mahmood has been transferred and posted as Faisalabad regional police officer against a vacant slot.

The slot had fallen vacant on Aug 13 after the transfer of Raja Rifat Mukhtar who was to attend a course for his promotion in Islamabad.

Faisalabad City Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Chaudhry was transferred and posted as Lahore Operations DIG – the slot which fell vacant a few days back when Sajid Kiani was removed and made an officer on special duty in the wake of sexual harassment case reported at the Greater Iqbal Park.

Punjab Highway Patrol DIG Mohammad Abid Khan replaced Mr Sohail Chaudhry, a police officer of BS-20 rank who managed to get important field assignment after serving many years out of the province.
