LAHORE: Pakistan Air Force Flying Officer Ibaadur Rehman who was martyred in a place crash was laid to rest at a graveyard in Wapda Town here on Wednesday.

A PAF aircraft FT-7 was on a routine operational training mission when it crashed near Mianwali on Tuesday, resulting in martyrdom of both pilots -- Sq Leader Haris bin Khalid and Flying Officer Ibaadur Rehman.

The PAF said that a board of inquiry had been ordered by the Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.

FO Rehman, a resident of Wapda Town, Lahore, was a former student of the Government College University (GCU) Lahore.

PAF officials, GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi, senior faculty members and a large number of varsity students attended the funeral.
