LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council held an exhibition of photographs and portraits in connection with the 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as well as held a seminar on Wednesday at Alhamra Art Centre.
The exhibition featured rare photographs and portraits of the Quaid created by eminent artists such as Collin David, Saeed Akhtar, Mehmood Butt and Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi. A good number of visitors attended the exhibition.
Information Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on occasion, he said that by holding such a marvelous exhibition and other activities in connection with the birth celebrations of the Quaid, the council had done a great job. He said Jinnah’s message of ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’ should be followed in every sphere of life.
The council’s Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said the exhibition and the seminar were a reminder for everyone that the ethics of brotherhood, patience, tolerance and unity should be their top priority.
The seminar was part of the 40th sitting of Gosha-i-Gayan. The main speaker at the event was Dr Tariq Shareef Zada who eulogised Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. “We all must play a vital role in the development of this country so that we can fulfil our commitment to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he added.
